Pumpkin Smoothie

Apple Crisp
Pumpkin Smoothie
Ingredients:

3/4 cup vanilla yogurt
-
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
-
1 apple, peeled and chopped
-
1 half of a banana
-
1/4 tsp cinnamon
-
1 cup ice
Directions:
-
Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until blended. Serve cold.
Macaroni & Cheese
Ingredients:

5 cups pasta
-
1 tsp salt (to add to boiling water for the pasta)

1 package (400 g) old cheddar
-
1/4 cup butter or margarine
-
1/4 cup flour
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp pepper
-
2 cups milk
-
1 tbs mustard (adjust to taste)
-
1/2 cup milk (to add at end if necessary)
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder, paprika, or nutmeg (adjust to taste)
Directions:

Cook pasta as directed (with salt) and drain.

Grate cheese in a bowl. Put aside.

In a large microwavable bowl, heat butter until melted. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper to make a paste.

Gradually add milk, blending well.

Microwave sauce mixture uncovered at power level 7 for 6 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Stop it at 3 minutes to stir.

Add mustard and any other spices and three quarters of the cheese. Stir well. (If necessary, add final 1/2 cup of milk to make thinner.)

In a large bowl or pot, mix together the macaroni and sauce.

Top with leftover cheese and serve.
Apple Crisp
Ingredients:

6 large apples - peeled, cored, and sliced

1/2 cup butter, melted
-
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
-
3/4 cup quick cooking oats
-
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
-
1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
1/2 tsp allspice (optional)
Directions:

Spread the apples evenly in an 8 inch square glass baking dish. (A deep dish glass pie plate will also work.)

In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon, and allspice. Use a fork to mix these ingredients. Mixture will be crumbly, but feel free to adjust the ingredients to suit your tastes.

Sprinkle this topping evenly over the apples.

Bake at 350˚ for about 30 minutes.

Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
